Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Hotel De France, I found it to be an interesting blend of old-world charm and modern amenities. Located conveniently near the railway station, the hotel provided straightforward access to our room even after hours, which I appreciated. The tranquil environment and well-furnished public spaces added to the hotel's character, and the multilingual staff were accommodating in explaining local parking and dining options. One notable aspect was the peacefulness of our room, which was surprisingly quiet despite its central location. Although compact, the bathroom was efficient, and the air conditioning proved effective in maintaining comfort. I particularly enjoyed spending time on the furnished terrace, overlooking the serene garden area, which presented a calming escape. The hotel's spa services offered a rejuvenating experience; I found it refreshing after long days of exploring. While the facilities included a photocopy machine for business needs, the atmosphere remained relaxed and conducive to relaxation. While some may seek modern chains, I found the unique charm of this historic building made for a memorable stay. For those looking to explore the local area while finding solace, Hotel De France is an option worth considering.
